The people behind
a higher standard of protection.

Three founding partners. One shared commitment — to protect what matters most, at every stage of ownership.

Deep expertise. Genuine relationships.

Standard Insurance Partners was founded by three professionals whose backgrounds span law, finance, real estate, and property & casualty insurance. Together, they bring a uniquely comprehensive perspective to protecting what clients own — and what they're building toward.

Jim Richards — Founding Partner and Chief Marketing Officer of Standard Insurance Partners

Jim Richards

Chief Marketing Officer

Jim is the Founder of Standard Insurance Partners and the Founder and Principal Attorney of Standard Title & Escrow. With a career rooted in real estate, risk management, and operational leadership, Jim brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to property and casualty insurance.

After building Standard Title into one of the region's most respected real estate law and title firms — overseeing the closing of millions of dollars in transactions daily — Jim recognized a recurring issue: clients were often underinsured, improperly structured, or poorly advised on risk. Standard Insurance Partners was created to solve that problem.

"Insurance should feel less transactional and more strategic. At Standard, clients aren't just buying policies — they're gaining a long-term partner committed to a higher standard of protection."

Jim's background in finance and law, combined with his early experience managing operations for a multi-state title company, shaped his disciplined, systems-driven approach to business. Today, he applies that same standard of excellence to insurance — focusing on proactive protection, intelligent coverage design, and long-term relationship building.

As a licensed attorney in Massachusetts and Connecticut and a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law, Jim remains deeply involved in the real estate community. His work across both firms allows him to view every transaction through a broader lens — not just getting deals closed, but ensuring clients are properly protected long after closing day.

Andrew Turcotte

Chief Financial Officer

Andrew is a founding partner of Standard Insurance Partners and leads the firm's financial services strategy, integrating life insurance and long-term planning into the broader real estate and asset protection model. With over five years of experience in financial consulting, Andrew helps clients align property ownership with income protection, legacy planning, and wealth-building strategies.

Originally from Waltham, Massachusetts, Andrew brings both technical expertise and a deeply personal, relationship-driven approach to his work. He believes insurance and financial services should not operate in isolation, but instead support long-term stability, equity growth, and generational security.

"Insurance and financial services should support long-term stability, equity growth, and generational security — not operate in a silo from the rest of your life."

Andrew is also deeply committed to the addiction recovery community in Massachusetts. His connection to the community is personal and meaningful, fueling his dedication to helping individuals and families build stronger financial foundations and more secure futures. He approaches every client relationship with empathy, clarity, and a long-term perspective — focusing not just on policies, but on impact.

Through Standard Insurance Partners, Andrew works to ensure that property protection and financial strategy move together — helping clients protect what they own while building toward what's next.

Jake Castinetti — Founding Partner and Chief Operations Officer of Standard Insurance Partners

Jake Castinetti

Chief Operations Officer

Jake is a founding partner of Standard Insurance Partners and brings a specialized focus in homeowners, investment property, and builders risk insurance. With extensive experience in property and casualty strategy, Jake works closely with homeowners, landlords, investors, and builders to ensure coverage is structured accurately from closing through long-term ownership.

Born and raised in Saugus, Massachusetts, Jake has deep roots in the North Shore community and understands the local real estate landscape, market conditions, and regional risk exposures. His approach is detail-oriented and consultative — prioritizing proper valuation, liability protection, and long-term asset preservation over one-size-fits-all policies.

"Coverage should be structured accurately from closing through long-term ownership — not reset at every renewal like nothing has changed."

With over five years of experience in the insurance industry, Jake combines technical coverage knowledge with a strong commitment to service and responsiveness. He works closely with real estate professionals, lenders, and attorneys to streamline transactions and eliminate coverage gaps during purchases, refinances, and construction projects.
